Sutton College of Liberal Arts (SCOLA) is where I study photography at evening classes. The college offers a wide range of course both vocational and non in an extensive set of topics. A prospectus is issued every year and this year, a number of the photography students were asked to take shots of students at work.
The brief was very basic which was quite frustrating and it took me some time to work out an angle by which to tie the images together. After taking some shots around the college, I hit on the idea of focusing on hands doing various tasks as the college is really about people doing things and not being taught in a passive way.
The following sequence of images are some of my favourites from this project. I apolagies for the poor quality of the scanning however the reproduction on my web site is far supperior to the reproduction in the prospectus!. Please click on the icon below to see the gallery.
