My interest in stereo or 3D photography was sparked of by a book I bought in a sale called "Magic 3D". I thought it was a bit of a gimmic initially however further research into the field gave me a better understanding of the field. I wrote an article about Stereo Photography for one of my City & Guilds photography modules as a result.
Having learned so much about these images, I decided to put the theory into practise. The images on the following page are some samples which I have dowloaded or made myself. Using a Java applet, the images can be displayed in a variety of formats. clicking on the images brings up a stereo viewing window and by right clicking on the window, your prefered stereo viewing method can be selected.
I still take stereo images especially of buildings and some still life arrangements. Click the icon below to view the gallery. Clicking on any image in the gallery will allow you to view the stereo pair.
